The Riparian Preserve offers area schools, PreK-12, access to a wide variety of environmental studies. Our unique setting allows students to participate in fun and educational experiences not possible in the classroom. All activities are correlated to the current Arizona State Standards and are cross-curricular in their approach.

This urban nature preserve is located just east of the intersection at Guadalupe and Greenfield roads, and in some cases is accessible by free city bus transport.

School Visits without Riparian Institute Programming
School groups wishing to utilize the Riparian Preserve for their own programming needs will be asked to reserve desired facilities by request.  Students, parents and teachers with any group unsupervised by Riparian Institute staff must follow all Preserve rules.  This includes utilizing only marked trails and refraining from any form of activity that could impact habitat.  Exceptions may only be allowed with supervision by Riparian Institute staff at a fee of $2 per student per hour.
